Lady Ava van Allecmere (SCA member since 2011) is a 10th century woman from the hamlet of Allecmere in the Low Countries, who loves spending time on her small homestead. She grows vegetables and herbs. Ava enjoys nalbinding socks & mittens for her townspeople. Every once in a while, you will be able to spot Ava travelling in Drachenwald.
Ava is apprenticed to Baroness Magdelena Grace Vane.
Ava’s main focus is the early history of the Low Lands, based on excavations and other finds. There are several archaeological textile finds she is trying to recreate and she writes articles on general Dutch medieval history.
Other interests: nalbinding, anthroponomy, embroidery, cooking, herbs, sewing.
